This course is intended to help real estate and building professionals understand the basic planning and building regulations for ADU development in the Los Angeles area. Participants will gain critical information to help them to respond to increasing client demand for properties with ADU potential, as well as the opportunity to earn the 'ADU Specialist' professional accreditation.Increasing rates of prospective home buyers and homeowners are interested in building an ADU on their property. Professionals on the cutting edge of this emerging development trend can better serve their homeowner/developer clients by understanding site eligibility, development process and costs, and the return on investment of ADUs.

Attend this training and become eligible to earn the nationally-recognized 'ADU Specialist' accreditation in order to display your ADU expertise to the market. Participants must attend one of our qualified trainings (this 'All About ADUs' class is one of them) and pass an accreditation exam. After passing the exam, Earth Advantage provides a registry listing, logo package, and marketing support for ADU Specialists to then promote their newly acquired designation via business cards, email signatures and website in order to differentiate themselves from other professionals.
'All About ADUs' participants who would like to pursue the 'ADU Specialist' designation can learn more about the exam here and opt in when registering below for this class. Note: 'ADU Specialist' is an optional designation and it is not required to attend the 'All About ADUs' course.

Florentine is a licensed ADU Instructor helping Los Angeles area Realtors and professionals become Certified ADU Specialists. She serves as a member of the Casita Coalition (www.casitacoalition.org/) and is active on several working groups: Registry of ADU Pros, Local Government, and Codes & Construction. Florentine has been invited to speak at many local and national ADU events and panels, including a recent session hosted by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). Florentine holds an MA in Organizational Systems with certificate in Building a Sustainable World from Saybrook University.
