Take this course and gain an in-depth look at the rationale for designing and building a healthy indoor environment while conserving natural resources. Participants will explore various health implications associated with design, material selection, and construction methods. You'll walk away with the ability to document health risks in a home and identify healthy and efficient alternatives to traditional materials and technologies. This will include analyzing building materials using various green criteria and identifying local and regional sources for optimum material selection.

Innovative water conservation strategies and construction waste management strategies with also be addressed in this training. We explore strategies to improve water conservation both within a home and on site and to optimize a site’s stormwater management.

Most importantly, recommendations for the successful integration of these strategies beyond principles and into practices will be emphasized throughout the course.

Stephen has been invited to speak at every major green building conference across the country and he has taught the SHP course annually since 2010.
