Matt Douglas is the Earth Advantage Manager, Central Oregon Residential for high-performance residential and multifamily projects. He conducts third-party field verification, including insulation and air barrier inspections, system performance assessments, and quality assurance reviews. Matt provides training and technical guidance to builders and subcontractors on best practices for air sealing, ventilation, and duct and heat pump performance testing. As a RESNET Quality Assurance Designee, he oversees compliance for HERS raters and supports certification under programs such as Earth Advantage Multifamily, LEED for Homes, and Energy Trust EPS. Matt plays a key role in helping project teams meet sustainability goals through accurate documentation, effective collaboration, and field expertise. Matt Douglas is a collaborative sustainability professional with nearly two decades of experience in high-performance residential and multifamily construction. At Earth Advantage since 2008, Matt has played a vital role in certifying thousands of residential units to ENERGY STAR, Earth Advantage, and LEED standards. With a deep foundation in building science and practical HVAC systems knowledge, Matt brings exceptional clarity and problem-solving skills to technical verification, contractor training, and program implementation. His approach prioritizes clear communication, industry collaboration, and excellence in sustainable building practice. Matt is a LEED®Green Rater (USGBC), ENERGY STAR Rater & Verifier (EPA), HERS Rater / RESNET QA Designee, Earth Advantage Certification Verifier, EPS Verifier (Energy Trust of Oregon), and possesses the EPA Universal HVAC Technician Certification.
