President

Dan Loesch is the president of DLC (D. Loesch Construction), a Sacramento-based design-build firm specializing in home additions and accessory dwelling unit (ADU) garage conversions. A Cal Poly Engineering alumni with over 13 years of experience transforming detached garages into functional, beautiful living spaces, Dan has established DLC as Sacramento's go-to expert for homeowners seeking to unlock property value through strategic ADU development. Since 2012, DLC has built over 75,000 sq ft of additional living space.

Dan's expertise spans the full project lifecycle—from initial feasibility analysis and structural assessment through design, engineering, Title 24 compliance, permitting, and construction. His hands-on approach and deep knowledge of Sacramento's unique building codes, historic housing stock, and local permitting landscape enable him to navigate complex challenges including foundation corrections, power line clearance issues, zero lot line builds, and seismic upgrades.

As both a licensed contractor and educator, Dan has completed dozens of garage conversion projects ranging from historic 1920s structures to modern detached garages, consistently delivering spaces that generate rental income, accommodate multigenerational living, and provide long-term return on investment. His practical, experience-based teaching style emphasizes real-world constraints, budget transparency, and interdisciplinary coordination—preparing professionals to advise clients with confidence and clarity.

Dan's work has been featured across digital platforms showcasing successful ADU transformations in neighborhoods throughout Sacramento, including Land Park, East Sacramento, and Midtown. He is committed to expanding housing options in the region while helping homeowners make informed decisions about their most significant investment.
