The United States Multiple Listing Service (MLS) model has supported and facilitated a well functioning real estate marketplace for decades. It does this in part by providing a database established by cooperating real estate brokers to provide data about properties for sale. An MLS allows brokers to see one another's listings with the goal of connecting homebuyers and sellers. A critical component of making the market work is property data. But what happens when not all important property data can be added to listings?
