You’re interested in promoting environmental justice in Portland, with a specific focus on climate and community resilience. You’re capable of communicating effectively with community members of all different backgrounds and lived experiences. You’re comfortable meeting new people and navigating unfamiliar situations. You’re highly collaborative, learn quickly, and aren’t afraid to ask questions.
Cooling Portland is a PCEF-funded program to install portable heat pumps and air-conditioning equipment in thousands of low-income households in Portland, Oregon. The Climate Justice Program Assistant is a part-time, limited duration position that will support the delivery of this program and efforts to measure its impacts. The Climate Justice Program Assistant will:
Help schedule and organize site visits to households that received cooling units in previous years.
Administer on-site surveys and assessments to unit recipients.
Perform data organization and quality control activities related to survey results.
Track and QC installation reports submitted by program partners.
Compile monthly reports on program activity.
Commitment to aiding vulnerable communities and to Earth Advantage’s mission.
Aptitude for collaborative team work.
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and the ability to drive to appointed locations in a safe and timely manner.
Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.

Relevant degree or certificate (e.g., energy, engineering, sustainability) in progress.
Proficiency in two or more languages.
