For What It's Worth - Understanding the Appraisal Process

This two-hour class will provide Real Estate Brokers with an in-depth understanding of how appraisers and appraisals work.

Through this training you will gain insight into the valuation of real estate that will make you a more knowledgeable, effective, and productive agent! Brokers will learn what makes one property comparable to another so they can better determine home value and inform their clients. The workshop will also provide tips on how to best work with appraisers on a daily basis to ensure accurate valuation and an overall smooth process. 

• Gain an understanding of the appraisal process and how to read an appraisal
• Examine the comparable sales approach to value and how it is applied
• Distinguish what information is most beneficial for brokers to supply to appraisers
• ​Identify how to spot an incomplete appraisal and best practices toward appraisal dispute resolution

This course has primarily been designed for Real Estate Professionals, but will also provide valuable information for Lenders and Builders/Contractors interested in gaining a better understanding of the valuation process and how to work well with appraisers.
