Join us for this 1-hour ADU update webinar providing the latest in ADU zoning changes for Oregon housing markets.
Oregon House Bill 2001 was passed into law in 2019 thereby requiring Oregon cities with more than 2,500 people to update their ADU codes to eliminate occupancy requirements and off-street parking requirements as of January 2020 (see map of affected cities and overview summary).Additionally, the City of Portland recently passed the Portland Residential Infill Project that will result in a substantial overhaul of single family residential zoning regulations that was nearly five years in the making. Beginning August 1 2021, Portland's new Residential Infill Project codes will go into affect (see infographic and overview summary).
This class covers how these new residential zoning regulations under OR House Bill 2001 and the Portland Residential Infill Project will dramatically change what can be done with all properties, including building two ADUs. This training will addresses both legislative topics and provides an opportunity for people to consider how these zoning changes impact their development entitlements. An opportunity for live Q&A with the instructor, Kol Peterson, will be provided towards the end of the webinar.
