Who We’re Looking For
The Training Development Lead will work to expand the delivery of Earth Advantage’s in-person and online educational programs to real estate and building industry professionals throughout Oregon, in key regional markets, and in targeted national locations. We’re seeking someone who will be adept at motivating busy professionals to invest their time and resources in trainings that increase their understanding of sustainability-related topics. You will apply your excellent communication and relationship building skills to help develop education partnerships and generate interest in Earth Advantage trainings and accompanying professional designations. You possess the organizational skills and follow-through to ensure that the suite of Earth Advantage’s professional trainings are then delivered to high levels of participant and client satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to gain an understanding of the green building industry, benefit the environment and building occupants, and participate in teams that influence organizational culture in proactive and meaningful ways. 

Role Description

  • Identify partnership and/or sales opportunities for real estate and building industry courses.

  • Perform targeted online course promotion to attract individual course participants.

  • Manage course delivery, including instructor coordination, course and school accreditation, participant communication, and maintenance of Salesforce CRM records and reports.

  • Organize workforce development trainings delivered through partnerships with community based organizations. 

  • Manage online training platforms and identify opportunities for increased participant engagement and interactivity.

  • Manage Earth Advantage’s professional designations, including; Sustainable Homes Professional, Earth Advantage Broker, Accredited Green Appraiser, and Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Specialist.

  • Maintain partner and/or funder relationships through project delivery and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of experience in communications, real estate or business sales, program outreach, and/or professional training delivery.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, writing and social media skills.

  • High motivation and energy level with demonstrated ability to take the initiative.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to keep stakeholders informed at all times.

  • A sincere interest in advocating for sustainable building practices as a means to reduce carbon emissions and climate impacts.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.

  • Prior work experience in communications, sales, and/or business/partnership development.

  • Prior work experience in the real estate or construction industry.

  • Certification demonstrating sustainable building industry knowledge (e.g., Earth Advantage Broker, NAR Green, EcoBroker, Sustainable Homes Professional, Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, LEED GA, ADU Specialist, etc.).

  • Certificate in real estate development, sustainability, or energy fields.

  • Demonstrated project management experience.

  • Spanish language proficiency.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Mailchimp, Basecamp, web design/HTML, Wufoo, Learning Management Systems (LMSs), Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premier Pro.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position based in either Portland, OR or Bend, OR. Consideration will also be given to other geographic locations. Compensation includes a base salary + commission potential. Benefits include health and dental insurance, flexible spending account (FSA), retirement benefit, and generous paid vacation/sick leave.
