Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a key team member to manage the logistics for a high-profile program to provide life-saving and efficient portable heat pump/cooling equipment to Portland's low-income population and communities of color. To succeed in this role, you will have superb management skills, be extremely well organized, possess the ability to communicate effectively with a wide array of subcontractors and project partners, and be extremely motivated to aid those most vulnerable to the impacts of extreme heat caused by climate change.

Role Description

  • Manage a project to purchase and distribute 15,000 residential cooling units by 2026.

  • Oversee all project logistics and a team of 3+ implementation and administration staff.

  • Participate in equipment purchasing negotiations with equipment manufacturers and distributors.

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with multiple Community Development Corporations (CDCs) and Community-based Organizations (CBOs).

  • Track project inventory in-flow and out-flow via Salesforce CRM.

  • Oversee the review and approval of payments to Community Distribution Partners based on verified installation of cooling equipment.

  • Represent Earth Advantage with Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF) staff and Community Distribution Partner organizations.
  • Provide regular reports to Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF) staff on program activity.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of project or logistics management experience.

  • Experience managing a team responsible for delivering goods or services.

  • Experience coordinating multiple vendors and subcontractors.

  • Experience working within large, collaborative teams, coalitions, or networks.

  • Commitment to aiding vulnerable communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale procurement processes and price negotiations.

  • Prior working relationships with Community Development Corporations (CDCs), Community-based Organizations (CBOs), affordable housing advocates, or similar organizations.

  • 3+ years of experience with inventory management.

  • Experience delivering on high-profile public projects.

  • Understanding of Salesforce CRM database architecture and its capability to track customer activity.
     

Compensation

$65,000 - $70,000 annual salary
