LEED Accredited Professional (AP) for Homes

The LEED AP for Homes exam is now available!

The LEED AP Homes credential provides a standard for professionals participating in design and construction of high-performance green homes. The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) created this specialty credential to denote practical knowledge of the LEED for Homes rating system. If you are interested in gaining expertise in the LEED rating system, becoming an AP is a great way to achieve this. LEED AP’s are a valuable resource to project teams and showcase you to be a leader in the green building industry. GBCI’s professional credentialing program provides third party administration and verification of the LEED Professional Credentials (LEED Green Associate, LEED AP,and LEED Fellow). LEED Professional Credentials demonstrate current knowledge of green building technologies, best practices, and the rapidly evolving LEED Rating Systems. A LEED Professional Credential provides employers, policymakers, and others take holders with assurances of an individual’s level of competence and is the mark of the most qualified, educated, and influential green building professionals in the marketplace.

The LEED AP Homes Exam is a two-part exam. The first part is the LEED Green Associate Exam, so the first step toward your LEED AP Homes is preparing for the LEED Green Associate Exam. You may take both tests together in one sitting. However, if you have already earned your LEED Green Associate credential, you cantest for the LEED AP Homes credential without retaking the LEED Green Associate portion.
