Commercial Building
Taking The Lead In The Green Building Movement
The commercial construction market has been significantly altered by the establishment of green building standards such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. In fact, more than 12,200 commercial office buildings now hold LEED status. These buildings can offer significant energy savings and often deploy innovative technologies, from renewable power systems to new sustainable materials, and "smart building" control systems.

The Need To Go Green
Buildings account for nearly 40% of our country’s carbon footprint, the building sector also serves as a low-cost, high-return investment strategy to reduce energy consumption. McKinsey and Company estimates that increased efficiency would save the U.S. economy $130 billion per year.
Greening Small Commercial
Earth Advantage Institute works with these under-served smaller project owners and developers in order to help them "go green" using Earth Advantage Commercial certification, designed to reduce the soft costs of other commercial green building programs while ensuring strict adherence to standards through on-site verification.
