From Here to Net Zero

The Architecture 2030 Challenge calls on building industry professionals to make all new buildings carbon neutral by the year 2030. An increasing number of builders are stepping up to the challenge by creating net-zero homes, homes that produce as much energy as they consume over the course of a year. The path to net zero will be examined through evolving energy standards in the residential market, including Oregon High Performance Home™ and Passive House standards. Discover strategies for achieving highly efficient homes and powering homes through renewable energy. Learn about incentives and tax credits available to those who build to these high performance standards. The course will include case studies of homes designed to net-zero standards and a discussion about their actual performance.
